8th International Symposium on Persistent Toxic Substances

Oct 12, 2011

October 12-16, 2011, Beijing, China
First Circular

Persistent toxic substances (PTS) are receiving world-wide attention due to their high resistance to degradation, high bioaccumulation capability, and long-duration toxicity to the ecological systems and human health. Substantial progress has been made on the understanding of environmental processes and toxicity, as well as on the development of innovative technologies for the control and remediation of PTS. The International Symposium on Persistent Toxic Substances, organized by the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology (SKLECE) at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and supported by CAS and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, is a continuous effort to provide a forum to encourage interdisciplinary discussion and exchange of information between environmental scientists from different regions of the world.
The 8th International Symposium on Persistent Toxic Substances will be held in Beijing, China during October 12-16, 2011. The organizers hereby kindly invite you to attend this important meeting.
