To better study how the spheres interact and impact the planet, China launched EarthLab, the first comprehensive virtual earth laboratory in China for simulation the physical climate system, environmental system, ecological system, solid earth system, and space weather system as a whole with a high-performance scientific computing platform.
EarthLab, an earth system science simulator developed under the lead of CAS Institute of Atmospheric Physics(IAP), makes debut at Hong Kong InnoTech Expo 2017, a showcase of achievements in science and technology of the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. Sponsored by Our Hong Kong Foundation, the Expo will run from 24 sept to 2 Oct. 2017.
