Journal on plasma research makes its way into SCI network
Plasma Science & Technology (PST), a bi-monthly co-published by the CAS Institute of Plasma Physics (ASIPP) and the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, was recently passed evaluation and accepted by the SCI Web of Knowledge, a leading research platform with a comprehensive coverage of the world's most important and influential research information.
As China's only English-language academic periodical in the field of plasma physics, PST publishes research papers and reports on novel developments or phased results at home and abroad. It also accepts articles on round-up reviews, applied prospective or commentaries on plasma-related research activities.
"This is indeed a laudable advance in China's plasma research accomplishments," says Prof. Xie Jikang, the editor-in-chief of the journal, which made its debut only about four years ago.
"Since its inauguration, the journal has made encouraging and substantial progress in academic reportage and editing quality" adds Prof. Xie. The journal is included by important S&T databases such as the Chinese Key Journal (selected) Databank, International Nuclear Information System Database (INIS) of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Chemical Abstracts (CA) of USA and Science Abstracts (SA) of UK. Furthermore it ranks 197th among thousands of Chinese journals with impact factor 0.2917 according to Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD).
