Prof. Glashow is a theoretical physicist at Harvard University and Boston University. He received, together with Steven Weinberg and Abdus Salam, the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1979 for their complementary efforts in formulating the electroweak theory, which explains the unity of electromagnetism and the weak force.
The lecture is organized by the CAS Institute of Theoretical Physics and will be hosted by Prof. ZHOU Guangzhou, president of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology.
