GIEC to Host Gas Hydrate Symposium

    The "CAS Gas Hydrate Symposium" is scheduled for April 2003 in Guangzhou.

    The event, to be hosted by the Center for Hydrate & Natural Gas Research (CHG) of Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, will have the presence of prominent overseas scholars. Facilitating the sharing of common questions and findings in the study of hydrates, it is expected to help China merge with international efforts in this area as soon as possible. Dr. Fan Shuanshi, CHG director, is in charge of the organizing affairs.
