The 2nd Meeting of Chinese TWAS fellows was held December 21 in Beijing. More than 50 Chinese TWAS fellows from various institutions across the country attended the gathering.
CAS president and TWAS vice president Lu Yongxiang delivered a working speech at the opening ceremony. Guo Huadong, CAS vice secretary general, reported on the preparatory work for the 14th TWAS General Meeting and the Celebration of TWAS 20th Anniversary that are scheduled for October 2003. Participants put forward suggestions regarding the preparation of the 2003 TWAS conferences.
