The 20-year cooperation between the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and the University of Tokyo (UT) has been successful. This was announced at a meeting marking such cooperation on September 12.

USTC was able to open itself to the world science community through implementation of the program. During this 20-year period, it sent 300 scientists to work as visiting scholars at the UT. Visiting scholars exchanged between the two universities numbered 1,200 in total. (Bulletin of the Chinese Academy of Sciences)
