Research Directions

This position is under the joint supervision of the groups of Profs. WEN Liangjian, LI Gaosong, and Ostrovskiy Igor. The successful candidate will work on the neutrinoless double-beta decay (0νββ) program of the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO).

Qualifications

  • A PhD in Physics or a related field, obtained before the start of the appointment.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++ for data analysis and simulation.
  • Experience applying machine learning algorithms and working with the Geant4 Monte Carlo (MC) framework is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international research collaboration.

The primary work location will be the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) main campus in Beijing.

Salary and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary. Outstanding candidates will be supported in applying for project funding and additional scholarships from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and IHEP.

Postdoctoral researchers who demonstrate exceptional performance may be recommended for promotion to tenure-track faculty positions at IHEP.

The initial appointment is for two years, with the possibility of renewal based on performance. Candidates who are available to start earlier will be given preference.
