Prof. PAN Jianwei and his colleges from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) have achieved the experimental verification of distribution quantum phase estimation for the first time. This work was published on Nature Photonics.

A research team including renowned Chinese quantum physicist Pan Jianwei on Dec. 4, 2020 announced a significant computing breakthrough, achieving quantum computational advantage.

Chinese scientists have created the world's first light-based quantum computer, called Jiuzhang, that can reliably demonstrate "quantum computational advantage", a milestone in which a quantum machine can solve a problem no classical supercomputer can tackle within a reasonable amount of time, according to a study published in the journal Science on Friday.

Recently, a group led by Prof. GUO Guoping from the University of Science and Technology of China, collaborating with Prof. ZHANG Zhen's group from Uppsala University, Sweden, designed and fabricated CMOS-compatible suspended SHT devices which worked as super-high frequency nanoelectromechanical resonators.

Researchers from University of Science and Technology of China theoretically proved that the backaction can be suppressed to zero in a two qubit system, and conducted the first experiment using entangled collective measurement for minimizing quantum measurement backaction based on photonic system.

The research team led by Prof. PAN Jianwei and Prof. LU Chaoyang from University of Science and Technology of China of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and international collaborators observed intensity squeezing on a single-photon source combining high levels of efficiency, purity and indistinguishability.
