Prof. DUAN Jinglai, a researcher from the Institute of Modern Physics (IMP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was elected President of the International Nuclear Track Society (INTS) on August 27.

The election took place during the general assembly of the 29th International Conference on Nuclear Tracks and Radiation Measurements (ICNTRM), hosted at Kobe University in Japan.

In his inaugural address, Prof. DUAN committed to working with global members to further advance nuclear-track science and technology, deepen international collaboration, and bridge fundamental research with practical applications.

Prof. DUAN is a specialist in radiation effects on materials and their interdisciplinary applications. He has authored over 100 academic papers, focusing on ion-track physics and related cross-disciplinary research.

The INTS is a leading global academic organization dedicated to nuclear tracks and radiation measurement. Its flagship conference, ICNTRM, traces its roots back to 1957 and serves as a premier international platform for researchers to exchange advancements in nuclear science, space radiation, and track nanotechnology.
