The 110-meter radio telescope in Qitai, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, hit a key milestone on August 18 with its antenna support structure hoisted into place. Construction began in September 2022, and the main framework is now taking shape. With completion set for 2027 and full operation by 2028, the facility will fill China's need for ultra-large antennas in deep-space and radio astronomy. (CGTN)
