Two int'l students accomplish degree studies at XTBG
Two international students recently obtained their academic degrees at the CAS Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG). Mr. Nabil Ibrahim Elsheery from Egypt and Mr. Tran Xuan Cuong from Vietnam have been conferred on a PhD degree and a master degree, respectively.
During the three years (2004.09-2007.07) in pursuit of his PhD degree at XTBG, Nabil Ibrahim Elsheery finished his study on the effects of chilly temperatures and drought stress on photosynthesis in mango trees, and had published his research results in international peer-reviewed journals. Tran Xuan Cuong was majoring in plant science and got satisfactory research results for his 3-year M.S. training program.
