An int'l prize established to mark ZHAO Jiuzhang

To mark the late Prof. ZHAO Jiuzhang ((Jeoujang Jaw,1907-1968), pioneer of China's modern meteorology, space science and satellite development, CAS and the International Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) joinly set up a Jeoujang Jaw Award in 2006. The prize is designed to recognize scientists who have made distinguished pioneering contributions to promoting space research, establishing new space science research branches and founding new exploration programs.
