A full-automatic portable dual-channel xenon analyzer developed at the CAS Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP) has passed field acceptance check recently. This analyzer, fabricated by the Research Team No. 105 headed by Prof. GUAN Yafeng from DICP, is the first one of such kind of analyzers in China.
The new analyzer uses a proprietary micro-chromatograph as its key component. Other features include a patented technique for high power concentrating of milliliter scale gas samples, fast chromatographic detection, programmed automatic control, weak-signal processing and chromatographic work-station. It can be operated without any personal attendance, and can attain a steady state within 30 minutes after start-up. The minimum detection limit of the analyzer is 2 ppm, and the maximum limit is 99.9%. Only one kind of carrier gas is needed for its operation, and the analyzing cycle is less than 2 minutes.
A contract-customer of the analyzer has conducted a field environmental condition test of 1 month and a performance test of more than 3 months, and concluded that all the characteristics of the analyzer could meet the requirements of the customer, and the key functional indices were an order of magnitude higher than those specified in the contract.
