The National Astronomical Observatories of China has for the first time released to the public their major astronomical observations and research results. These new findings including obtaining the data of over 4 million stellar spectra through one of the most advanced telescopes of the country.
Such result is equivalent to a census of stars the Milk Way. Other finds include detection of a fast radio burst as well as the data collection of a black whole of about 16,000 light years from earth.
The observatory says more cutting edge researches will be conducted in 2016 and such kind of release will become a norm in the future in order to boost popularity of astronomy among the public.
