Shell, CAS institutes forge partnership for bio-energy development
Royal Dutch Shell PLC (Shell) inked agreements recently with Massachusetts Institute of Technology from US and other five institutions around the world for working together to find new sources for biofuels, improve efficiencies, and lower costs. Among them, two Chinese partners are from CAS: the Institute of Microbiology and the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology. Experts say that the partnership marks further development for CAS institutes to form substantial and strategic cooperation ties with multinationals in the studies of energy resources.
