CAS President LU Yongxiang, who is also vice chairman of the Standing Committee of China's top legislature NPC, held talks on Nov. 4 in Beijing with Dr. Ingrid Hamm, an Executive of the Robert Bosch Foundation in Germany.
Dr. Hamm gave an account of the foundation, a major private funding institution in Germany. Following the stipulations of its charter, the foundation sets content-related focal points, develops innovative programs, and supports practice-oriented individual projects. She said that the foundation is planning to strengthen its work in Asia, especially in China.
Prof. Lu briefed the German visitors the recent development of CAS. He suggested that the two sides could make joint efforts in hosting doctorate programs, organizing seminars in cutting-edge areas and supporting research projects.
