Institute of Nutritional Science receives its first overseas grant
A research project of the newly established Institute of Nutritional Science (INS), the CAS Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, has been awarded a grant by the Research Management Group, a research foundation in the United States recently. The award wass made on the basis of full consideration according to a scientifically rigorous and objective review process. With the money of US$ 608,900 over the next three years, INS researchers will carry out studies into tumor promotion effect of benzo[α]pyrene-7,8-diol-9,10-epoxide (B[a]PDE). This is the first major research grant award INS has received from overseas.
