The Executive Committee of the CAS Presidium makes the work on the State medium- and long-term S&T development plan a top priority for the CAS Academic Divisions (CASAD) in the coming two years. This was announced at the second session of the fourth CAS presidium executive committee convened on June 10 in Beijing.
It was decided at the meeting that, the CASAD, the top advisory body of the State in science and technology, will focus on the identification of the major S&T issues for the next 10 to 15 years in the light of the State strategic objectives and the worldwide S&T development. Consultative suggestions will be presented to the central authorities after in-depth analyses of crucial issues on the basis of the strategic studies on S&T development.
