CAS Branch, Beijing co-establish research centers

The CAS Beijing Branch and the Beijing S&T Academy signed an agreement for comprehensive cooperation on Dec. 19 in Beijing. Vice Mayor of Beijing ZHAO Fengtong and Prof. FANG Xin, a member of CAS Presidium, unveiled the nameplate for six research centers jointly established by the two sides according to the agreement.


    The CAS Beijing Branch and the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology signed an agreement for comprehensive cooperation on Dec. 19 in Beijing. Vice Mayor of Beijing ZHAO Fengtong and Prof. FANG Xin, a member of CAS Presidium, unveiled the nameplate for six research centers jointly established by the two sides according to the agreement.

    The new centers will address various issues ranging from environment noise and vibration control, S&T reform and policy, to radiation and materials technology. They will adopt a system in which the directors, appointed by the Board of Directors, shall assume the main responsibility for the Institute's daily operation and administration.
