Main functions: To foster, bid and manage related tasks of the national key science and technology programs; to plan and manage the Strategic Priority Research Programs (Category A) and their Centers of Excellence; to coordinate, develop strategic planning and prospective layout for science and technology innovation works related to strategic high-tech for the whole Academy, to build up and manage key laboratories and research platforms related to strategic high-tech, and to initiate and manage major scientific tasks.
