Main functions: To formulate, and implement Program for Science and Technology Development and the annual plan; to maintain scientific evaluation works and S&T awards affairs; to carry out CAS institutes assessment, mid-term evaluation and acceptance check of major S&T projects of CAS; to promote comprehensive major reforms and development initiatives; to undertake work of CAS Leading Group for Comprehensively Continuing Reform; to organize strategic research and construction of decision-making support system; to support the work of CAS Academic Committee and its special committees; to coordinate and manage the CAS regulations and rules; to conduct comprehensive statistics, innovation survey, S&T reports and document information management; to maintain counterpart liaison with related State Departments and undertake works entrusted by the CAS administrators.
