  • China's BDS-3 Improves Timing Service
    China's BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS-3) has improved its timing service. Researchers from the National Time Service Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences analyzed the time transfer performance of BDS-3 signals. Results showed that the time transfer performance of the BDS-3 is over 50 percent higher than that of the BDS-2.

  • Time Transfer Performance of BDS-3 Satellites Has Been Improved
    Researchers from the National Time Service Center analyzed the time transfer performance of BDS-3 signals and found that it was over 50% higher than that of the BDS-2 satellites. The elevation-dependent biases found in BDS-2 code measurements are mitigated in BDS-3.

  • Four BeiDou Satellites Start Operation in Network
    Four satellites of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) have recently passed tests in orbit and started operation in the network. The four satellites include the 41st, 49th, 50th and 51st satellites of the BDS family. The 50th and the 51st BDS satellites, launched on Nov. 23, 2019, are operating in medium Earth orbit, and were developed by the Innovation Academy for Microsatellites of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
