LI Zhigang

LI Zhigang was born in 1954 in Heilongjiang province. He graduated from the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University.

As a member of the CAS Presidium, he was once the secretary-general of Chinese Academy of Sciences, vice-director of Institute of High Energy Physics, and the director of Bureau of Comprehensive Planning, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

He was the visiting scholar of the Syracuse University, and the guest expert of Fermi National Laboratory. He also took part in the CLEO II project and more than 10 international cooperation projects.

For years, he is engaged in research in high-voltage technology, high energy experimental physics and detectors.
