Beidou-3 Global Navigation Satellite System Constellation Completed

A Long March 3B carrier rocket was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center on June 23, 2020.

The 55th satellite of the Beidou-3 Global Navigation Satellite System, also the last of it, was sent to space and connected to the Beidou-3 navigation network.

The Beidou navigation satellite and its supporting carrier rocket were jointly developed by the China Academy of Space Technology and the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology. The Innovation Academy for Microsatellites of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other research institutes participated in the development and construction.

This is the 336th flight of the Long March carrier rocket series.

With the strong support of measurement and control, ground operation and control, inter-satellite link management, application verification and other systems, Thus, the deployment of the Beidou-3 Global Navigation Satellite System constellation was completed half a year ahead of schedule.
