China-Africa Joint Center for Research and Education, CAS (Kenya), which serves East African countries such as Kenya and Tanzania, focuses on biodiversity protection, public health, agricultural technology, environmental protection, and other issues of general concern to African countries. It also promotes cooperation between China and Africa in the fields of S&T and higher education, helps African countries improve their capacity for scientific research, and promotes green and sustainable development in Africa.
