Under the BRI framework, Chinese and Croatian partners have launched a cooperation mechanism in environmental protection.

Croatian Prof. Andelka Plenkovic Moraj together with researchers in Croatian Plitvice Lakes National Park, has been working with her Chinese counterparts in Chengdu Institute of Biology (Chinese Academy of Science) and Jiuzhaigou National Park for over a decade.

The two UNESCO World Heritage parks benefits each other from the cooperation. (Xinhua)
