CAO Xiaoye, professor of S&T policy, born in 1957 in Jiangsu Province, now is the Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.As a Ph.D supervisor, he was once the Director-General of the Bureau of S&T Policy. He also acts as the Director of the CAS Center for Strategy Studies, Deputy Director of CAS Publishing Committee, and the Deputy Director-General of CAS National Science Library.
Moreover, he serves as the Chairman of Board of the Chinese Association for Development Strategy, Vice Chairman of the Copyright Society of China, Commissioner of China Language Commission, and Editor-in-chief of the journals named Science and Culture and Science and Technology Policy and Strategy.
