DENG Yong

DENG Yong was born in 1958 in China's Yunnan Province and graduated from Tsinghua University with bachelor’s degree in Solid Mechanics. He began to teach in Tsinghua University after obtained master’s and doctor's degree.

DENG is now Vice Secretary General of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Vice President of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).

Professor DENG studied mechanical analysis of Aircraft Construction in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, California State University, Long Beach from February of 1993 to December, 1994.

DENG used to be secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee in Tsinghua University, vice secretary-general and secretary-general of All-China Students' Federation.
