In 2023, a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system developed by researchers from the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology received approval from the National Medical Products Administration for market release.

This is the world’s first clinically approved multinuclear MRI system for gas imaging, providing a non-invasive, radiation-free method for the precise detection of pulmonary diseases in clinical settings.

Currently, the system is being utilized in clinical research and applications at over ten top-tier hospitals and research institutions in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Wuhan.

The system will also be adapted for the precise detection of brain diseases in the future.
