Loongson-1: China's First Self-developed High-performance, General-purpose Processor
Institute of Computing Technology
In 2002, the Institute of Computing Technology successfully built China’s first high-performance, general-purpose microprocessor chip, Loongson-1, with independent intellectual property rights. Loongson-1 was selected as one of "China’s Top 10 Scientific Advances for 2002" by members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
After more than 20 years of development, Loongson processors and related chip products have been widely used in e-government, transportation, energy, finance, telecommunications, education, and other fields.
