The Project of NMR Spectroscopy Instrument Passing Mid-term Examination

September 11, AQSIQ Science & Technology Department organized experts to implement mid-term examination for 300MHz-500MHz nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy Instrument Project , a research task of the Eleventh Five-Year National Science and Technology support program scientific instruments and equipment research and development projects, in Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics of Chinese Academy of Science and Technology. Tian Zhuang, the Deputy Director of AQSIQ Science & Technology Department, presided over the medium-term inspection work, as well as both the Ministry of Science & technology Conditional Financial Department and the CAS-based Office leaders joined the inspection. The Group has carefully listened to the Mid-Project reports gave by Academician YE Chao-Hui, the leader of the project, questioned on the progress of the subject and made site visits.  

The project opened at the end of 2006, and aimed to develop independent innovation and core technology of nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, nuclear magnetic resonance application software, system integration nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, establish a national research platform of NMR spectrometer, enhance nuclear magnetic resonance and related fields continuous innovation capability and international competitiveness.  

After nearly two years of effort, the research group independent researched and developed many key core components, including nuclear magnetic resonance console. The Group believes that the key functional blocks developed by research group performing excellently, some parts had equaled to the level of import equipment, the main frame of the MRI system software developed by research group designed reasonable and practical, with independent intellectual property rights. Task Force  had cultivated and attracted a number of innovative R & D personnel equipment, initially set up R & D platform for nuclear magnetic resonance instrument research. On this basis, the research group has also developed a complete dual-channel 500 MHz NMR spectrometer test prototype, After several FBI to prove that the overall program is reasonable and technical practical. Experts advised to improve system stability and reliability on the basis of the above-mentioned work, enrich the functions of the system, and further improve the overall technology indicators, and strengthen intellectual property protection.  

Wu Boer, the inspector of the Ministry of Science & technology Conditional Financial Department, pointed out that the aims and aspirations of national scientific and technological support scheme lie in supporting the development and lead the future. Nuclear magnetic resonance has an important sense to significant developments in other field of Science and Technology, so it is compulsory to support schemes and give them some attention in recent years. Currently the world's has only two nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer main production plant. We have great difficulty to independently develop and lack of funds, but we can not be a long-term controlled by others. Wu also pointed out that the team led by Academician Ye Chao-hui had gone through hard work, achieved results and led a number of talents in the Ministry of Science & technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Wuhan Institute of Physics and mathematics joint efforts. At the end, Wu hoped that the study team to make persistent efforts and to develop a more efficiency way to complete the task.
