The establishment of a Yangtze freshwater cetacean conservation network was recently announced by the Ministry of Agriculture. Based on data provided by members of the network, a united information platform on Yangtze River dolphins will be set up to provide more accurate reports, says Prof. WANG Ding, a cetacean conservation specialist from IHB. "And the up to date information will help streamline the decision making process for protecting the endangered species."
