On 27 August, Chinese Minister of Science and Technology WAN Gang made an inspection tour to the CAS Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography in Urumqi, capital of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
During the visit, Prof. Wan held talks with researchers on issues concerning desertification control and biodiversity protection, showing appreciation to their work.
