Prof. TANG Keli, an expert in soil erosion studies with the CAS Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, has received the Distinguished Researcher Award from the World Association for Water and Soil Conservation (WAWSC). The prize was presented by former WAWSC President Samran Sombatpani on 24 July in Yangling in northwest China's Shan'xi Province.
The award is to recognize Prof. Tang's achievements in pioneering the development of new methods to study soil erosion on the Loess Plateau and elsewhere in China during her career.
