CAS reseacher honored with Zhou Peiyuan prize in mechanics
In recognition of his pioneering contributions to the complex flows and environmental fluid mechanics, Prof. LI Jiachun, a CAS member with the CAS Institute of Mechanics, was honored by a prize in mechanics issued by the Zhou Peiyuan Foundation.
Recommended by a steering committee attached to the China Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ASTAM), the prize winner was ratified by the Foundation. The prize was conferred by Prof. Chen Jia'er, president of the Foundation, at the meeting in memory of the 50th anniversary of ASTAM held on 20 August in Beijing.
The Prize is to recognize Chinese scientists who have make creative achievements or who have solved key problems in mechanics by using existing theories or methods. One scholars or project will be chosen for the prize in every two years.
