Play an active role in revitalizing old industrial base

During his trip to the CAS Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA) on December 16, CAS President Lu Yongxiang urged the new leadership of the institute to be oriented both to its traditional advantages and new technologies, and actively participate in the current campaign to rejuvenate the old industrial bases in northeast China.

    Accompanied by Secretary of CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee Wen Shizhen and Mayor of Shenyang City Chen Zhenggao, CAS President Lu, who is also vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the top legislature NPC, made these instructions after having listened to a report by Prof. Wang Chaoyue, newly appointed SIA director, and inspected several research laboratories.
