Conferring certificates on newly elected CAS members from Hong Kong

President Lu hands over a certificate for CAS membership to Prof. LAU Wan Yee of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, one of the four new CAS members from Kong Kong.



President Lu Yongxiang is present at a Forum for CAS Members and confers membership certificates to newly elected CAS members from Hong Kong SAR during his recent trip to the region.


    CAS President Lu Yongxiang, who is also vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, visited the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) from Dec.3 to 8.

    During his trip, President Lu was present at a Forum for CAS Members and conferred membership certificates on newly elected CAS members from the region. The agenda of President Lu's trip also included meeting with Mr Tung Chee Hwa, Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive, and elites of local industrial circle, participation of the 40 anniversary celebrations of Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and an international forum on manufacturing technology. Prof. Lu received an honorary Ph. D. degree of Science from CUHK.
