China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) will undertake the work of the next Asia Pacific Top Level Domains Association (APTLD) Secretariat from July 1, 2013 until June 30, 2015.
As one of the founding members of APTLD, CNNIC has been actively involved in APTLD related work and activities. In terms of international domain names, domain name registration management, domain name security protection and other fields, CNNIC and APTLD have had fruitful exploration and practice.
CNNIC has been actively carrying out broad cooperation with the Internet organizations and institutions in various countries, and building a more open environment for international exchanges. As manifestation of its social responsibilities, CNNIC supports APTLD in operating its secretariat, which will further promote in-depth cooperation and communication in respect of domain name technology and policy between APTLD members.
APTLD is an organization for country-code Top Level Domain registries in Asia Pacific region. Established in July 1998, APTLD is mainly formed by national and regional top level domain name institutions in Asia Pacific region. APTLD, now having 36 full members and 15 associate members, works as the forum of information exchange regarding technological and operational issues of domain name registries in Asia Pacific region.
