Springer published the electronic version of Volume 5, Issue 1 of the Journal of Arid Land (JAL) at Springer’s online information platform SpringerLink on December 14, 2012, marking the beginning of cooperation between Springer and the sponsors of JAL.

The journal is the official publication of Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences (XIEG) and co-sponsored by XIEG and Science Press. Springer got the exclusive right to publish the electronic version and print version of JAL outside Chinese Mainland.

The cooperation between the two sides will largely improve the international impact of JAL and help the journal to attract more high-quality research results.

Dr. YE Lu, editorial director at Springer’s Beijing office, said, “We are honored that XIEG and Science Press have chosen to work with us. Our online information platform SpringerLink will help disseminate the journal to a global audience.”
