IRSA, VUB Sign MOU for Cooperation in Remote Sensing Field

Institute of Remote Sensing Applications (IRSA) and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on October 23, to establish formal working relationship in the fields related to Image Analysis and Remote Sensing.

Under this MOU, both parties agree on collaboration to promote research in the areas including Satellite Image Analysis, Hyperspectral Image Processing & Analysis, Remote Sensing Change Detection, and Remote Sensing Disaster Risk Assessment. The cooperation will be carried out as the following forms: exchanging scientists, joint training doctoral students, sharing data and scientific information, and establishing joint research in commonly interested areas as mentioned above.

WANG Jinnian, deputy director of IRSA, prof. Jean-Pierre de Greve vice-rector International Relation of VUB, and two of his colleagues Jan Cornelis, honorary vice - rector of VUB, and prof. Hichem Sahli, scientific coordinator of the collaboration VUB / IRSA, were present at the signing ceremony.
