Sino-European cooperative research on SARS

Researchers from the CAS Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) will team up with their European colleagues to start cooperative projects on the SARS epidemic. This was announced at a Sino-European symposium on the killer disease held on Dec. 10 in Belgium. The collaboration will include a Sino-French project on animal origins of SARS virus and epidemiology and a Sino-Spanish project on SARS vaccines based on genetic engineering.
