Institute of Atmospheric Physics and Taylor & Francis Group Announce a New Publishing Partnership

Sep 15, 2015

The Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP) is delighted to announce a new partnership with Taylor & Francis Group, for the publishing of the IAP journal Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters.

First published in 2008 and currently in Volume 8 (2015), Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters is unique in providing a rapid communication channel between academic communities concerned with the interdisciplinary research areas of atmospheric science and physical oceanography. This approach allows the journal to cover such critical issues as climate change, water resources, wind energy, drought and flood, smog, amongst many others.

Publishing as an open access journal, Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters will benefit from increased exposure through the Taylor & Francis Online platform, with additional functionality such as forward citation linking and advanced online publication of articles in both PDF and HTML formats through Online First.

Taylor & Francis’ Hong Kong office will provide local liaison and support, while the company’s international marketing networks will ensure that the journal’s content is seen, read and cited by researchers around the world.

“We are pleased that Taylor & Francis values the uniqueness of this journal and we look forward to a partnership that is good for the journal, for Taylor & Francis, and for progress in the science community,” said Prof WANG Huijun, Editor-in-Chief of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters.

Lyndsey Dixon, Regional Journals Editorial Director at Taylor & Francis Group said that he believe "the marriage of Taylor & Francis Group’s publishing expertise with the energy, drive and subject excellence of the team at IAP will make for a successful and impactful union.”
