By Nadezhda Serbinenko: According to a recent survey of the influential Dutch auditing network, China is the second leading country in the field of innovation and scientific discoveries after the United States. In just a few decades, Belarus’ strategic partner, China, has undergone an unprecedented economic transformation. From a country that produces cheap and not always high-quality goods, China has become an innovative locomotive of the world economy.

It seems quite logical that the PRC leadership pays great importance to the development of science. This was once again stressed by Xi Jinping earlier this week, at the opening of the 19th meeting of academics in Beijing. The head of the Chinese Academy of Sciences made a report there. Bai Chunli flew back to Beijing from Minsk.

Bai Chunli, Professor, Doctor of Chemistry, visited Belarus for the first time. The academies of science of the two countries have over 50 joint projects.

We present an exclusive interview with the Chinese academician about science and life. (Belarus 1)
