3rd World Conference on Marine Biodiversity (WCMB-2014)

Theme: 'Life in the Changing Ocean'

On behalf of the organizing committee, I cordially invite you to attend this conference and come ready to discuss exciting new ideas and achievements in this field.

WCMB-2014 will take the form of keynote lectures, oral presentations, posters and exhibitions. It will cover topics from recent breakthroughs in Marine Biodiversity.   

WCMB-2014 will continue to provide a platform for marine scientists to debate on the issues affecting the progress of this emerging field and identify the challenges and opportunities facing the development of marine biodiversity.

We have six topics (not limited to)

  Marine Biodiversity & Global change

  Marine Ecosystem Structure & Function

  Marine Ecosystem Safety

  Marine Biological Observation

  Marine Biological Resources   

  Deep sea Biodiversity

Qingdao is one of the marine science and technology centers. One third of China’s marine research institutions and half of the country’s high-level marine researchers are located in Qingdao. After the conference you are welcome to join one of the tour routes to experience the culture and enjoy the seafood and Tsingtao Beer in some of the most famous regions of China.  

Depending on the warmly support and good suggestions from all of the participants, we are confident in organizing WCMB-2014, which would be better and more successful.

A limited number of travel support scholarships are available for participants from low-income countries/regions to present their papers. Please indicate if you wish to be considered for travel support.
