Oct 12, 2013

Venue: Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China

Time: 12-29th October, 2013

The training course is sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and will be organized by the Institute of Biophysics, CAS. It aims to update participants’ knowledge about the molecular mechanisms of infections, to help participants better understand and utilize the technologies regarding diagnosis, prevention and treatment of infectious diseases; to promote exchange and cooperation among Chinese researchers and scholars from other developing countries in the fight against infectious diseases.

Requirements for participants:

About 20 participants from the developing countries will be selected to attend the course. Participants should have educational background and work experience in biomedicine and related fields. Fluent listening and spoken English is required. Participants should be in good health condition; personnel with infectious diseases, severe hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, mental disorders or pregnant women are not eligible. No accompany with family members or relatives during the training course.

Course format:

Lectures, group discussions, laboratory demonstrations, facility tours.

Participants’ local accommodations will be covered by the organizer. Limited grant is available to cover international travel expenditure of selected participants.
