The CMS group at Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP-CMS group), Chinese Academy of Science is searching for one postdoctoral research associate to work on the CMS experiment, Large Hadron Collider at CERN.
The IHEP-CMS group participates the CMS Muon detector construction, upgrades for 2015 data taken, and CMS Calorimeter upgrades for 2020 data taken. Physics activities including Higgs boson studies, B physics, top quark studies, and new physics searching.
The candidate is expected to work on data analysis of Higgs Boson, top quark or searching for new physics. The position is of two years with possible extensions. We anticipate the candidate to be resident at CERN, and spend fractional time at IHEP, Beijing.
A Ph.D degree in experimental particle physics by the time of the appointment is required.
Applicants should submit a curriculum vita, a statement of research interests, a list of publications, and arrange three references letters to
Dr. ZHANG Huaqiao: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applications before 10th Jan 2014 will be fully considered. This position will be open until it is filled.
The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) is a general-purpose detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). It is designed to investigate a wide range of physics, including the search for the Higgs boson, SUSY, extra dimensions, and particles that could make up dark matter etc.. The CMS experiment is one of the largest international scientific collaborations in history, involving 4300 particle physicists, engineers, technicians, students and support staff from 179 universities and institutes in 41 countries.
