Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Boeing Company signed Memorandum of Understanding on October 21, 2009 in Shanghai, China.
CAS and the Boeing Company will cooperate on bio-energy, advanced material, and wireless technology, according to the Memorandum.
JIANG Mianheng, vice-president of CAS and John Tracy, senior vice-president and CTO of the Boeing Company signed the Memorandum.
The memorandum specified the mechanism of cooperation and the fields the two parties shall collaborate; therefore laid the foundation for further substantive cooperation.
The management team of the two parties’ maintained communication since the spring of 2009, and Boeing’s research staff also paid a series of visits to CAS institutes.
