Pan Jiaofeng, born in 1967, Shandong province, is the vice secretary-general of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the director of the Bureau of Planning and Strategy, CAS.
Pan, once a visiting scholar of Westminster University, received his Master's degree at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and has been engaged in education and administration for years since then.
He is also the deputy director of the Center for Innovation and Development of CAS, commissioner of the committee of the Science and Technology Publication Fund, executive director of the Chinese Association of Young Scientists and Technicians, and the secretary-general of the executive board of the National Science Library.
